If you asked me this question just a few weeks ago I would have said the 80's was the music that really touched me with an honorable mention to the 60's. But since we lost Michael and last Sunday being Madonna's birthday,I got to look back at the 90's.M favorite video of Maddy's is Bad Girl, made in 93.My favorite of Michael's Remember The Time, made in the 90's.the 90's brought us Nirvana and Soundgarden.SoI gues all I can say is there are many great music eras and if you look, you will find gems in every one of them. I agree that finding the gems in today's music will be hard.
i think they compare her to Madonna because they are both wild..i like them both. though i like gaga more.. i love all her song..and she soo geneius.. she used to be a writer for akon and somre artist..really amazing.. love her stile and craziness..she will be as popular as madonna and who knows she might be more.. For me she's very much different from madonna..^_^
I didn't know Elvis died on the same day Madonna was born. This must be a very musical day in the universe according to my belief system. My favorite Elvis song is jail house rock and my famous Elvis related movie (although Elvis wasn't actually in it) is the musical Bye Bye Birdie. My favorite Madonna song is definitely Borderline. Once, for dance competition class I choreographed an entire dance to it.
This needs mentioning: has anyone seen "I am, because we are?"It is a documentary hosted by Madonna. Now, regardless of what people think about her, she is using her money for good and getting word out about a country in need of assistance. In that country, which very few Americans know how to place on a map, there are one million orphaned children, most of whom are infected with HIV, who lost their parents to HIV. They can not afford medical coverage, nor the fare for a bicycle cab to get to the one clinic, miles away from their huts. They can't afford prevention or medicine, they can't afford education. They are oblivious to how good we have it. And, here we are, in America, poo-poo'ing a plan that can help all our citizens the chance at preventative healthcare, instead of the chance at going tens of thousands of dollars in debt, after the fact, after they have already been...
Love me Tender..that is my favorite song....I remember where I was the day he died and who told me that he had passed....I loved Elvis so much I even did the treak thing down to Memphis to see his home etc.....I have never listened to Madonna much......did she sing "like a virgin?" because I love that song!
I loved Elvis. My favorite movie of his is Viva Las Vegas and my favorite album was Aloha from Hawaii (got that on VHS too!) and he has so many amazing nad wonderful songs... I have so many favorites... those being....everyting he ever did!!! But that American Trilogy is really moving. Everything he ever did had meaning and feeling and got right to the heart and soul. His gospel album is very good too! HE could sing country, rock and roll, blues and gospel...I have not seen any other singer than can do that as well as he did. He is the King of Music as far as I am concerned... and always will be no matter who comes along next. Not a single one will top Elvis. Madonna... who's she? (I actually know, I just don't care!)
I kinda think she could be a star like Madonna but we will see, I have heard of couples of her song, I feel like dancing when I hear it and follow it to ding, I liek her song but the lyrics are quite dirty... would like it to be better.
Dear chelsea,I believe Lady Gaga will be as popular as Madonna.
Her songs are catchy, her costumes are great, her
creativity is beyond imagination[em]thumbup[/em]I can hear her songs played on radio everyday - Poker Face..
I saw her on you-tube, on blogs, on tvs...she is definitely 'HOT'
She is the shining star that shines brightly, are rising from
the west to the east...capturing the hearts of music lovers! All the best and hope to hear your views on my topics at myLot! Tks..
I started jr. high school in the 80's and the coolest thing, like you said was the clothes and the hair!
I remember this mini skirt outfit I had that I wore with leg warmers!! lol
And dressing like cyndi lauper and madonna....it was a great decade!
Guys with mullets everywhere!!
Fun times!
Ok, so I have had the new album Hard Candy for quite some time and I think it's hot just like Madonna, nearly 50, is!What was you're impressions of the new album and which tracks are your favorites? What do you think of the collabaration with Pharrel and Justin Timberlake? Whick track do you think is the weakest? Personally I think the one with Kanye West not up to standard!
Hi,
im one of the biggest fan of madonna. i have many albums of her. But im little disappointed on her latest album Hard Candy. How you people think about her new release. Can she come back strong.http://manyforfree.blogspot.com/2008/05/music-madonna-hard-candy-full-album.html
To me madonna's hits of the 80s far exceed anything she has done since. I can see how she still wants to be relevant and all now a days but her initial hits were the best. Maybe it is just that I love 80s music lol. Anyway what do you think?
A city that more than two decades ago declined to honor Madonna with a key to the city wants the singer to give it a second chance.Madonna was considered for the honor in 1985, but some thought she was too risque, the newspaper said. It also said the city in the late 1980s refused to accept a sculpture of Madonna from an Italian artist, citing a belief that her popularity would fade in time. Guess induction into Rock Hall of fame changed their minds. Personally I hope she passes.
had someone tell you that a song reminded them of you? What was the song? Who dedicated it to you? Who told you the song reminded them of you? Do you know why they dedicated it to you or said that it reminded them of you?
it seems that her madgesty still got what it takes to pull off a hip-hop urban inspired album..with HARD CANDY coming out this april.. we are set to see yet another side of madonna.. it seems that the queen of pop still got what it take sthrough the years... and perhaps it would be a battle between two MCs.. MARIAH CAREY and MADONNA CICCONE... tsk tsk tsk..
and so far MADONNA'S collaboration with TAMBALAND and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE is more interesting than MIMI's touch my body... tsk tsk.. well see!
