Did you have a favorite fad when you were growing up?

Yes! Bring back the hairbands! lol. I love 80's music and would love for it to come back again! Oh and sweatshirts that hung down on one shoulder like from Flashdance. More family shows on TV like the Cosby Show or Family Ties. There doesn't seem to be anymore around these days. And most of all...Music videos! I mean REAL music videos! The kind that MTV used to play! I can remember how excited I was when we got MTV, thanks to an error with the cable company, and laying on the living room floor watching Madonna singing Like a Virgin. Nowadays MTV is a parent's nightmare and a channel my kids will NOT get to know!

I like them, but not all the time. I'm sick of our media idolizing celebrities. Most celebrities are usually bad people and not very bright. If most celebrities weren't famous, they wouldn't be doing ads for burgers they'd be serving us burgers. Sorry if that's offensive, but it's the truth. Anyway, not all ads are great. Should the author lie? It was bad timing when JLW did her ad. I've seen pics of her not looking so skinny. I'm not saying she should be size two, but your body should be in shape if you're selling undies. Madonna is not a favorite of mine at all. It's funny how because she's "Madonna!" as you say she shouldn't be made fun of. So, nonfamous people are ok to be made fun of? She doesn't act her age and it can be off putting at times.

Madonna or JLO

Both are good artist but I definitely would choose madonna among the two because she is an excellent artist, a great dancer and a good performer. She may have her flaws, but at her age, she absolutely stunning and beautiful. JLo, on the other hand has the beauty and body, but she lack the voice. She is not that good as a singer. But her songs are really good.

What one record would you take with you to a desert Island?

What would be your favourite album of Queen's if you had to choose just one though? Do you like the older stuff or the newer? I am not a big fan of Queen to be honest, I like some of the music. If I had to take one album I think I would take Madonna's Ray Of Light album, it has one of my all time favourite songs on there 'Frozen' which I never get tired of listening to because that song was written for me, I can so relate to the lyrics. I love all of Madonna's music but that album has to be the best and most favoured one for me to take.

I guess I am showing my age here but I get high on the 80s music. I love the 80s, most if not all of my cd collection is from the 80s, my Ipod for the gym contains only 80s music, although I do have most of Madonna's stuff on it. I am crazy about her, more of her latest hits. She is fantastic and one of my all time favourite singers. I don't care what people think about her she is one of the most talented singers that has ever lived. Her music is so versatile too to suit all my moods, when I feel high or when I feel blue.

American Life - at her best, or mis-judged?

Obviously with so much diversity within one career, it's natural that many people will consider some of her albums to be particularly weak. Specifically, I'm talking about one of her most controversial works - 'American Life'. What was your opinion of this record? My problem with it isn't the often-cited "anti-Americanism", I just think some of the things she experimented with (which I have a lot of respect for in itself) didn't work too well at all, such as her cringeworthy attempt to rap on the title song. Its only saving grace was Love Profusion, which I actually think is one of her greatest songs to date, particularly because hearing any acoustic work from her is rare, but this really worked.

I remember the time when I was a young girl I used to imitate Madonna. She was and still my favorite pop icon. I like her song "Like A virgin" and "Vogue". I also admire her because she was able to maintain her figure even if she's almost 50. Even if she is quite controversial for what she had done in the past she has maintained her self. Unlike any other pop icon who's going nowhere right now. Her being famous hasn't gotten to her mind like she was getting out of control.

Which of Madonna's many incarnations do you prefer? Personally, I loved a lot of the work she did on the album 'I'm Breathless', around the same time as she appeared in Dick Tracy. It was a nice departure from a lot of her other work with some fab jazz and cabaret influences.
