OMG... I so remember people dressing like Cindy Lauper... lol I've never been too "trendy" so I can say I never really went for any music era look in fashion. But Cindy Lauper and Madonna truly did dawn a whole fashion look at one point in time! OMG.. and the Michael Jackson glove! I remember kids going around buying them and thinking they were so cool!!!!!! LOL
of course, it's always a special thing to actually hear the voice of your loved ones. but then, i consider also the expense that goes with it. if the situation is sort of urgent, i'd prefer to call, but if not, SMS would be fine with me. and, yes, madonna, communicating through sms with your lover when you're arguing may prove to be beneficial to both parties, as it will avoid harsh words you wouldn't have wanted to blurt out in the first place.
I personally think it was ridiculous the way the media stormed her and her family over the adoption of her son. They also made it out to be like she just went over and got him without any strings, but didn't bother to show you the truth behind what she's gone through to get the boy. Do you think she was attacked by the media, simply based on her celeb status?
Madonna; Confessions on a Dance FloorWhen you hear a title like "Confessions on a Dance Floor", you expect certain things.
However, there are no 'confessions' and not all the songs are made for the 'dance floor'.
Observations tells us that Madonna uses only one or two pads on the drum kit, they never even touch a bass drum and the keyboards were used on a small range.
There was only one song that used guitars. The lack of any musicians is due to the fact that most of the songs revolve around sample of already famous hits from ABBA, Stardust, Donna Summer, and even some of Madonna's past songs.
Even tracks that have some potential are ruined by her cliched and self-involved lyrics.
It seems half the songs are just Madonna talking into a microphone about, you guessed it, herself.
"Hung Up" is the only track that will ever touch the radio and it is obvious why she chose it as her...
