have you ever been attacked by any animal?

hi. few days back, i was on terrace,enjoying the sunset, suddenly one lady came with a dog(i don't know its breed, maybe german lebrador, quite a big one).i never expected dog on terrace. the moment,he saw me, he came running towards me. poor me, i didn't had the place to run also. that mad lady was standing and smiling. luckily, dog just kept barking ..it was the first time, i had encountered any animal so closeby. do you have any experience of animal attack?

Fruit Carving

Okay, I just love fruit! My favorites are bananas, oranges, grapes, pineapple, apples, strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, and watermelon. They just taste so yummy! speaking of fruit, last night I was watching the Food Network Challenge where the contestants have to carve fruit into a big sculpture. Hawaii was the theme, and you should have seen the finished pices! the level of detail and artwork on some of the carvings on fruit was simply amazing! I think it would be fun to carve my fruit into a beautiful piece, but then I'd probably eat it afterwards. Anyways, one guy used pinapples and watermelon to make a totem pole. The carvings were so detailed, too. I have just never seen this before, except when my mom wouls make a watermelon fruit basket, and then fill it with fruit. Have you ever done any fruit carvings? Fruits like watermelon and pineapple would be best because the fruit...

Hi gang I was watching the news yesterday and they had this story about this young lady who is competing in a beauty contest. This young lady gave her opinion about same sex marriage and how she was against them. She didn't believe in them because of her faith and what it says in The Bible. Well now the city council in Beverly Hills is making a big production about it and are trying very hard to distance themselves from her. What happened to free speech and everyone entitled to their own views. I am Catholic and I don't believe in same sex marriage either. I do respect people's opinion and those that agree with same sex marriage I wouldn't make you feel like you were stupid and why do you think like that. I was also wondering with this mayor and city council all upset do they really agree with same sex marriage or are they just saying that to keep getting voted into office. I felt bad...

I have just read that a British IVF clinic is going to help women have babies at 58. I believe that not all that is possible via medical help is moral. Do you think that a 58 year old lady is capable to take care of a small child? Is a 58 year old woman who is old enough to be her baby's grandmother, has the energy to take care of her son or daughter?

Are Japanese cars reliable any more?

Since the Toyota incident, and other Japanese cars defective report, here is a question pop up my head, are Japanese made autos reliable anymore? The Honda Accord my father purchased on 2002, it has transmission problem, and we ended up brought it back to the dealer had it fixed. Recently in news, Lexus has problem with its acceleration too, a lady complained all of the sudden the car accelerated to 100 miles per hour. From my impression, Japanese autos are most reliable and durable vehicles. What went wrong with their engineering, and the auto manufacturer? Did anyone hear any similar incidents from other countries complain about it? What about in Japan, do they report the same complaints from the Japanese drivers?

What is your worst VICE? what do you do to work on improving it?

I have multiple, as we all do. but i must say my worst vice is my temper. Forget having a short fuse, i dont think I even HAVE one..im so passionate about everything and very opinionated and I havent always been like this, about 2 years now. I also cannot stand injustice. The other day, i was at target and there was a young kid collecting all the carts in the parking lot. he had like 50 carts lined up and he went to grab the last one. This lady rolls down her window, calls him to her freakin car, and goes "can u move the carts?" Strange robberies in my locality....

Hello friends,Something very strange is happening in my locality for last few months. I live in a proper city and as expected its crowded most of the time. But for say last six months some broad day light robberies are taking place in my locality.These robbers fake themselves as cops and ask ladies to handover them all their ornaments. Few days ago a lady residing in the very same building where i live got robbed in this fashion. Actually they hypnotize their victims and rob them.The victim regains their consciousness after say 10 mins or so and by that time they all are gone. That lady lost ornaments almost worth of 2000 USD. That’s awful.Police complaints have been made and a lot of investigation is on and the local police has made a public issue that not to wear too much gold or ornaments and also not to carry lots of cash unnecessarily.This is quite shocking to know as its...

what are crazy items you've heard people have stolen? i thought of this topic when i went to a restroom of a restaurant and saw the flushing mechanism of the toilet covered with some sort of metal cage and padlocked. Then there are manholes covers which are disappearing in the night. How about in your place?

Where? Here on MyLot!I gave a response which was not appreciated (and I know why) and I got called 'you old lady from Italy'I was supposed to be offended I guess but that's not the case. In the eyes of someone in their early twenties I pResume I am considered an old lady but the user who said it has his age in his own profile as 74 cough cough!Whoever online or off calls me an 'old lady' (which if that's the case then I'm proud to be such) gets back from me a wish to reach the same ripe old age! Without naming names may I ask us all to have a little silent thought for one of our number who is currently unwell and not able to get to her computer. Her sweet laughter, cheerful countenance and loving, caring and supporting love has touched many of us. I shall give some clues but I will not name her. A delightful Scottish lady who though bearing much pain always puts us first. The mother of two of the dearest children, who finds time to mother us too - even to the point of spanking me! A woman who never lets her friends down and works hard to see the good in us all. When she visits our discussion it is as if a light has been turned on illuminating her good sense and perceptive insights. Please join with me in wishing her a speedy recovery.

17 Hours of Pure Hell

I just ended more than 17 of the most horrible hours I’ve spent in many years.Yesterday afternoon I was outside on the lanai with Lady, tossing balls to her and she catching them and returning them to me or tossing them into the pool. Shortly after 5 p.m. she either slipped into or simply walked into the pool. I laughed at her silliness until I discovered that she was not seeing me. She no longer followed my movements and she could no longer follow the balls that I was tossing.I put her on my lap and noticed that both of her eyes were opaque, as if a film were covering her corneas. It alarmed me greatly! She became quite lethargic, although a half-hour earlier she’d eaten her entire meal.I called the vet whose office is located only a five-minute drive from my home. I got their voice mail and left a rather frantic message. I was not aware that they did not have emergency hours. I...

I would make it a point to have dinner together daily with my immediate family. That's when we share and enjoys on our daily activities and happenings. I would also tried to meet up my relatives in the weekends occasionaly to catch up on each other's life. Most of the time, we would gather for dinner at their place. How about you?
