Hair Raising Experience - Have You Ever Had One?

Have you ever had a hair raising experience that scared you to Death? I have.In my teens our next door neighbors breeded siamese cats. The sounds coming from the love making were excruciating to say the least.In my late twenties I was working in Quito, Ecuador and living by myself in a three-bedroom house in an urban development on the side of a small mountain. One night, about 3am, I was awaking by the most horrendous sound of screeching and screaming coming from the room (it was a flat root). I wasn't quite focused but it was so loud I'm sure they could have heard it in Colombia. I went into the garden off my bedroom and looked up but it was a pitch black night so I couldn't see a thing but the noise continued and was reaching a very high pitch. I looked for some small stones, found one and sent it flying. The sound suddenly stopped but I was shaking so bad it made my teeth...

Secrets... Can you keep them?

Do you have a secret that you havent told to anyone until now? of course i wouldnt ask what secret that is. But have your friends told you about their secrets and they said that you shouldnt tell it to anyone else, but YOU ACCIDENTALLY DID?What is it about secrets that i myself become so nosy about such? But you see, If im told not to tell, I dont tell. My friend's secrets died in me. Funny, I dont remember their secrets anymore.What's your opinion about secrets? wrong child?

if you have children, did you ever feel that you got the wrong one? i don't mean like they were switched at birth or anything, more a case of the wrong sex.when i was pregnant, i told anyone who asked that i wasn't bothered if i had a boy or a girl, so long as they were healthy and this was true in a sence, but i most definately had my heart set on a girl!throughout my pregnancy, i truely believed i was carrying a girl, i only chose a girls name, but i did buy unisex clothing (no pink or blue).as it worked out, i had a son, i actually felt somewhat cheated, and had to think fast as to what i could call him as katarina just wouldn't go down to well as he got older...i love him dearly of course, and wouldn't actually change him for the world, but truely, have you ever felt like you have the wrong child?

What is your opinion?

I myself have a mentally challenged child so what i saw deeply effected me .Some of the participants on American Idol were obviously mentally challenged and it broke my heart to see them be laughed at and told they were terrible. .My son has notions in his head that he is gonna be a police man well he cant read better than a 5 year old and will never drive and I come right out and say to him no you will not be able to do that and he always retorts back when i graduate i will and i say ok we will see.He also belts out tones and is terrible and I tell him I dont think singing is not his forte' I tell him these things because i dont want him to have false hopes I of course say it to him in a loving way as much as possible but i believe i should be honest with him even though the school seems to give him plenty of false hope which really irritates me i think if he is not good at something...

Friends Dilemma

My neighbor and I have been friends for a number of years. Recently he told me that his sister-in-law was making advances towards him when his wife was out of town. She is recently a widow and they had dated before he and his wife were married. He has a good relationship with his wife and says he is happily married. He asked me Should he tell his wife? I told him NOT to tell her and to tell his sister-in-law to he is NOT interested. AND if she continues to persist and try to visit him when his wife is away, he SHOULD tell her. What do you think?

I red in todays New York daily news about a Psychic who told a family that their missing child was dead four year ago. Fortunately for this family, the missing young boy who was 13 when he dissappeared returned home or was found alive and back the the parent's house last week or two. How would you handle a racist parent if you were having a mixed child?

This is the dilemma my friend is in. She is white, her guy is black. She is actually in labor TODAY!!!! When she called her mom from the hospital this morning, her mom spoke her out for waking her up. She is very angry her daughter is having a mixed child. She is at the point she barely wants to speak to her mom because her mother has said some very hurtful things. For example, when she first found out she was expecting, her mother told her she hopes she will lose the baby. I told her that her mother will come around but this is putting a serious rift in their relationship.What would you do in this situation?

Ex-Husbands and Custody

I have been watching a friend of mine struggle with her finalized divorce and custody issues.When going through the divorce she felt so remorseful and was so afraid of making the husband angry that she agreed to shared custody, which is something I woul dhave never done. I didn't offer and opinion because its not my place to.Now, she has all this split time and so much uncomfortabel contact with the ex-husband that it is worse than when they were married. She is still incapable of standing up to him, and the kid is walking all over her because he can push that "well when I am at dad's" button and have his way.She asked me, which was probably a mistake because I tend to be blunt, how she could make things better. I told her to either give the husband full custody or go back to court and sue for full custody, and that her suing would probably be better because she has few skills...
